Beginning June 1, 2005, the Office of Administrative Hearings began processing Special Education cases. Requests for hearings, requests for mediations, and public inquiries for these matters may be directed to the Sacramento office of the Office of Administrative Hearings as follows:

Web Cast of Special Education Advisory Committee Meetings
The Department of General Services' Office of Administrative Hearings will feature live Web casts of the bi-annual Special Education Advisory Committee meetings. Participants are invited to submit questions and comments that will be shared with the board members live during the meeting. Pursuant to California Education Code section 56502(h) and its interagency agreement with the California Department of Education, the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is required to post a list of free or reduced cost Attorneys and Advocates. Inclusion on this list is by application and self-certification that the applicant meets the requirements of California Education Code section 56502(h).
